Potsdamer Platz er en pladslignende trafikknudepunkt i de berlinske bydele Mitte og Tiergarten i distriktet Mitte mellem den gamle bymidte mod øst og den nye berlinske vest. Som en dobbeltpladsanlæg støder den op til Leipziger Platz mod vest.
Ved byggeriet af Berlins told- og afgiftmur blev Potsdamer Tor opført i 1734. Her begyndte den Berlin-Potsdamer Chaussee, som var et vigtigt led i netværket af Preussisk statsveje, siden slutningen af det 18. århundrede. Den grønne område, der ligger vest for porten, pladsen foran Potsdamer Thor, fik sit nuværende navn i 1831.
