Stadion Rote Erde, tidligere kaldet Kampfbahn Rote Erde, blev bygget i 1926 i Dortmund i umiddelbar nærhed til Westfalenhallen på Strobelallee. Siden opførelsen af Westfalenstadion grænser det direkte op til dets østtribune.
Bygningen af stadionet mellem 1924 og 1926 blev hovedsageligt udført af arbejdsløse som en del af nødarbejde. Slaggerne til sportspladsen kom som Original Aachener Rothe Erde fra affaldsprodukterne fra smeltningen. Stadionet blev indviet med to arrangementer: Den 6. juni 1926 åbnede de borgerlige atleter Kampfbahn, en uge senere fandt et arrangement for arbejdergymnasterne sted.
