Petersaue er en stor indsø ø i Rhinen. Med et areal på 50 hektar er den større end øen Mainau i Bodensøen. Det er den øverste ø i kæden af Rheinauen. Den tilhører Wiesbadener bydel Mainz-Kastel og strækker sig over en længde på 2,98 kilometer mellem delstaterne Hessen og Rheinland-Pfalz ned til den tidligere preussisk-hessiske grænse ved Mainz-Amöneburg fra strøm kilometer 499 til 501,9.
