Den nedlagte borg Sassenberg var en lande-borg af højstedet Münster i Sassenberg i Warendorf kommune i Nordrhein-Westfalen. Den blev senere ombygget til slot. Store dele blev revet ned i det 19. århundrede, andre blev udnyttet kommercielt.
På borgens område eksisterede rester af en motte-borg, hvilket antyder en høj alder af anlægget. Motten var synlig helt ind i moderne tid. Imidlertid ligger den tidlige historie tilbage til det 14. århundrede i det store hele i mørket. Ifølge historikere fra det 16. århundrede skulle en voldborg være blevet opført af Lothar af Süpplingenburg i anledning af hans krigstog mod biskop Burchard af Münster i 1121. Derefter skulle Lothar have overgivet borgen til Bernhard I. af Lippe. Det er heller ikke bekræftet, at borgen efter nederlaget af Henrik Løven og hans tilhænger Bernhard II. af Lippe er kommet til Münster.
