Palas de Rei er en by i provinsen Lugo, Galicien i det nordvestlige Spanien. Den tilhører comarcaen A Ulloa.
Historien om Palas de Rei synes at være nært knyttet til militær kultur, som bevarer mange af de arkæologiske rester fra en fjern bosættelse. Ifølge traditionen skylder byen sit navn "Pallatium regis" til paladset for den visigoteriske konge Witiza, der regerede mellem 702 og 710. I Palas skulle Witiza have dræbt hertugen af Galicien, Favila, far til Don Pelayo.
