Santillana del Mar er en kommune i den spanske provins Cantabria i regionen Cantabria med et areal på 29 km². Santillana del Mar har 4.184 indbyggere. Byens center i Santillana del Mar har mange historiske bygninger. Historien om benediktinerklosteret Colegiata Santa Juliana går tilbage til det 12. århundrede og har bevaret meget af sin oprindelige karakter. På pladsen står Torre de don Borja fra det 15. århundrede opkaldt efter Don Borja Barreda. Derudover er der mange smukt udsmykkede herskabsboliger med våbenskjoldene fra gamle spanske adelsfamilier på facaden. Landsbyen udsender stadig en middelalderlig atmosfære, biltrafik er næppe tilladt, hvilket får den til at ligne et friluftsmuseum.
