Ibarranguelua[3] er en kommune i provinsen Bizkaia, Baskerlandet. Hovedstaden i kommunen er Anteiglesia de Ibarranguelua eller Elejalde. Det er en kystkommune, selvom den vigtigste del af landsbyen, som bærer både navnet Ibarranguelua og Elejalde, ligger skjult bag Cabo Ogoños store masse i en lille dal, der kommunikerede med kysten. Denne strategiske beliggenhed, meget tæt på havet, men ikke synlig fra kysten, tillod beboerne i landsbyen at forblive skjult for uønskede besøgende fra oceaenen og samtidig drage fordel af de ressourcer, som dette tilbød dem på kort afstand.
