La Gomera er, efter El Hierro, den mindste af de beboede Kanariske Øer, en øgruppe i Atlanterhavet. Den tilhører Spanien.
Ligesom de andre Kanariske Øer havde La Gomera som de tidligste beboere Guanchen. Spanierne erobrede øen i 1404 med Jean de Béthencourt. Guanchenne gav op, men gjorde ofte oprør på grund af uretfærdig behandling af erobrerne. Christoffer Columbus stoppede ved La Gomera som sidste havn, før han den 6. september 1492 begyndte sin overfart over havet. Huset i San Sebastián, hvor han boede, er nu en turistattraktion.
