Begyndelsen af promontorien er dækket af Playa de Ostendes kunstige sand. Der er adgangstrapper og udsigtspunkt.
I første halvdel af det 20. århundrede havde medlemmer af Estebanot-familien, blandt hvem var en ingeniør og en ansat ved domstolen, et hus nær Punta de los Cuervos, i det område, der er kendt som "Los Hierros". Men nogle mennesker begyndte at kalde det "Punta Estebanot", henvisende til dette sted, i stedet for dets oprindelige navn. Navnet "Punta Estebanot" eller "Punta de Estebanot" er dog aldrig blevet erklæret officielt.
