Dette tidligere kloster og dets haver blev i rækkefølge beboet af kapucinerbrødrene fra det 17. århundrede til den Franske Revolution, og derefter af karmelitsøstrene fra 1821 til 1998. Gennem årene restaurerede nonnerne klosteret og ændrede det til et almindeligt karmel. De byggede blandt andet et nyt kapel og et kloster. Fordi der ikke længere var nok nonner til at bo i bygningen, forlod de det i 1998, da byen købte ejendommen. Direktionen for Kulturarvscellen og afdeling for Kulturarv holder nu til der. Karmel har derfor fundet et nyt liv ved at blive Maison du Patrimoine. Huset organiserer hele året mange kulturelle arrangementer (udstillinger om nutidskunst og kulturarv, koncerter, rundvisninger, workshops), både indendørs og i de store haver omkring det tidligere kloster.
