Carrickfergus er en stor by i amt Antrim, Nordirland. Den ligger på den nordlige kyst af Belfast Lough, 11 miles fra Belfast. Byen havde en befolkning på 27.998 ved folkeoptællingen i 2011. Det er amt Antrims ældste by og en af de ældste byer i Irland som helhed. Carrickfergus Slot, bygget i slutningen af det 12. århundrede på foranledning af den anglo-normanniske ridder John de Courcy, var hovedstaden i Earldømmet Ulster. Efter earldommens sammenbrud forblev det den eneste engelske udpost i Ulster i de næste fire århundreder. Carrickfergus var det administrative center for Carrickfergus Borough Council, før dette blev sammenlagt med Mid and East Antrim District Council i 2015, og udgør en del af Belfast Metropolitan Area. Det er også et byland på 65 acres, en civil sogn og et baroni.
