Wells () er en katedralby og civil parish i Mendip-distriktet i Somerset, beliggende ved den sydlige kant af Mendip-bakkerne, 21 miles sydøst for Weston-super-Mare, 22 miles sydvest for Bath og 23 miles syd for Bristol. Selvom befolkningen, der blev registreret i folketællingen i 2011, kun var 10.536, og med et bebygget område på kun 3,244 km², har Wells haft bystatus siden middelalderen på grund af tilstedeværelsen af Wells-katedralen. Oftest beskrevet som Englands mindste by, er den faktisk den næstmindste efter City of London i areal og befolkning, men i modsætning til London er den ikke en del af en større bymæssig agglomeration.
