Jirnsum er en landsby i Leeuwarden kommune i provinsen Friesland, Holland. Den havde en befolkning på omkring 1.360 i januar 2017. Landsbyen blev først nævnt mellem 1399 og 1401 som Yrntzom, og betyder "bopæl for Irin-folket". Jirnsum udviklede sig som en terp beliggende langs Boorne-floden. Senere blev det en vejlandsby. Den nederlandske reformerte kirke stammer fra 1877. Menoiterkirken stammer fra 1684 og fik sin nuværende form i 1866. I 1840 var Jirnsum hjemsted for 525 mennesker. I 1868 åbnede Grou-Jirnsum jernbanestation.
