Den 114,6 km lange flod Berkel er en biflod til IJssel. Dens øvre og midterste løb ligger i Münsterland i Tyskland, mens det nedre løb ligger i Nederlandene.
Berkel udspringer i en saddle i Baumberge mellem Nottuln og Billerbeck, omtrent 22 km vest for Münster. Tæt på kilden løber Baumberge-vandskellet. Andre vandløb, hvis kilder ligger i nærheden, strømmer dermed på helt forskellige måder til havet.
