Denne rute går langs de 17 søjler med historisk information, der er en del af projektet De Canon van Enkhuizen. Dette projekt er udarbejdet af Stiftelsen Kroniek van Enkhuizen i samarbejde med kommunen Enkhuizen. På hver søjle behandles emner om historien om Enkhuizen, der begynder i 1572. Dette er året, hvor Enkhuizen som den første by i de Nordlige Nederlande kastede det spanske åg af sig og valgte Prins af Orange.
