Die Zeppelin-Halle aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg, die hier stand, war größer als die Gentse Sint-Baafs-Kathedrale. Hier stand die LZ37, ein großes Luftschiff, das ursprünglich für Aufklärungsflüge gebaut wurde. Daher gibt es noch viele Fotos von diesem Ort, da mit den Kameras, die bei den Aufklärungsflügen verwendet wurden, auch Aufnahmen von diesem Ort gemacht wurden.
