Um das Wohl der Familie zu sichern, verfügte sein Bruder Theodoor in seinem Testament, dass die Kirchenverwaltung für seinen Unterhalt für 50 Jahre einen Betrag von 15 Francs erhält. Eine für die damalige Zeit nicht unerhebliche Summe.

Die Kapelle, in Woubrechtegem als „Grote Kapel“ bekannt, ist ein Juwel und wird von den Anwohnern makellos gepflegt. Es war ein regelmäßiger Halt während der Prozession , die jedes Jahr durch die Stadt zog.
