Elgg ist eine politische Gemeinde im Bezirk Winterthur des schweizerischen Kantons Zürich. Es ist eines der sechs historischen Zürcher Landstädtchen.
Das 1388 erstmals nachgewiesene Gemeindewappen ist eines der ältesten im Kanton. Lediglich die Wappen von Winterthur , Grüningen , Rheinau und Zürich sind älter.
