Heimberg ist eine politische Gemeinde im Verwaltungskreis Thun des Kantons Bern in der Schweiz. Der Name ist wahrscheinlich eine Bildung aus dem althochdeutschen Personennamen Haimo/Heimo und dem Gattungswort Berg.
Heimberg ist die unterste Gemeinde im Aaretal, die zum Berner Oberland gehört. Zur Gemeinde gehören die Weiler Bümberg und Thungschneit , welche nordwestlich der Ortschaft Heimberg liegen.
