Quarten ist eine politische Gemeinde im Kanton St. Gallen in der Schweiz. Die katholische Kirchgemeinde Mols-Murg-Quarten ist Teil der im Jahr 2007 errichteten Seelsorgeeinheit Walensee.
Die deutschsprachige Gemeinde Quarten hat 2937 Einwohner und eine Fläche von 61,9 km². Der tiefste Punkt ist der Walensee mit 419,3 m ü. M., der höchste der Magerrain mit 2523,7 m ü. M. Die Gemeinde besteht aus den Dörfern Oberterzen, Unterterzen, Quarten, Quinten, Mols, Murg SG und Tannenbodenalp.
