Rehetobel ist eine politische Gemeinde im Vorderland des Kantons Appenzell Ausserrhoden in der Schweiz.
Rehetobel ist nach Schwellbrunn und Wald die dritthöchstgelegene Gemeinde des Kantons. Der Ort liegt zwischen St. Gallen und Heiden, die durch eine Postautolinie verbunden sind. Weiter südlich liegen Wald und Trogen. Der tiefste Punkt ist die Achmüli mit 610 m ü.M., der höchste Punkt ist der Kaienspitz mit 1120 m ü.M.
