Rovio, in der alpinlombardischen Ortsmundart Röf [røːf], ist eine politische Gemeinde im Kreis Ceresio, Bezirk Lugano, des Schweizer Kantons Tessin.
Das Dorf liegt 230 Meter über dem Luganersee am Fuss des Monte Sant’Agata , eines Ausläufers des Monte Generoso, auf rund 500 Meter Höhe. Nachbargemeinden auf Schweizer Seite sind Arogno, Maroggia, Melano, Castel San Pietro TI und Mendrisio, auf italienischer Seite Alta Valle Intelvi und Centro Valle Intelvi.
