Castel San Pietro ist eine politische Gemeinde im Kreis Balerna, im Bezirk Mendrisio des Kantons Tessin in der Schweiz.
Seit 4. April 2004 sind die ehemaligen selbständigen Gemeinden Casima mit der Kirche San Carlo aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, Ortsteil Monte und gleichzeitig Campora, früher Teil der Gemeinde Caneggio, in die Gemeinde Castel San Pietro aufgenommen. Castel San Pietro erstreckt sich über die ganze westliche Seite des Muggiotals bis zum Monte Generoso. Die Gemeinde umfasst die Fraktion Corteglia.
