Rennaz liegt auf 377 m ü. M., 8 km nordnordwestlich des Bezirkshauptortes Aigle . Das Dorf erstreckt sich in der weiten Talebene östlich der Rhone, nahe dem Ufer des Genfersees, am Westfuss des Mont d'Arvel der Waadtländer Alpen.
Die Fläche des 2.2 km² grossen Gemeindegebiets umfasst einen Abschnitt des Rhônetals. Der Gemeindeboden erstreckt sich ausschliesslich im flachen Teil der Rhôneebene und reicht im Osten bis zur Bahnlinie, im Nordosten bis an den kanalisierten Lauf des Baches Eau Froide. Der höchste Punkt von Rennaz wird mit 380 m ü. M. in der Ebene erreicht. Von der Gemeindefläche entfielen 1997 26 % auf Siedlungen, 1 % auf Wald und Gehölze, 71 % auf Landwirtschaft und etwas weniger als 2 % war unproduktives Land.
