Faido , Dialekt Fait) ist eine politische Gemeinde und Hauptort des Kreises Faido und des Bezirks Leventina im Kanton Tessin in der Schweiz.
Das Dorf, Hauptort des Bezirkes, liegt 721 m ü. M. am linken Ufer des Tessin und an der Strasse Airolo-Bellinzona, eine Station der Gotthardbahn, in der Valle Leventina . Es umfasste vor wenigen Jahren nur den Talboden; inzwischen haben aber sämtliche früheren Gemeinden der mittleren Valle Leventina unterhalb des Piottino bis zur Biaschina fusioniert.
