Der Berninapass liegt auf 2328 m. Der Passo del Bernina ist ein hochgelegener Gebirgspass im Berninagebirge der Alpen, im Kanton Graubünden (Grischun) im Osten der Schweiz. Er verbindet den berühmten Kurort St. Moritz im Engadintal mit dem italienischsprachigen Val Poschiavo, das in der italienischen Stadt Tirano in Valtellina endet. Der Pass liegt einige Kilometer östlich des Piz Bernina. Ein niedrigerer Pass befindet sich westlich des Berninapasses auf 2.253 Metern. Der Berninapass wird sowohl von Straße als auch von Schiene überquert, mit einem beliebten Touristenzug, dem Bernina Express, der ganzjährig zwischen Chur und Tirano verkehrt. Der Zug überquert den niedrigsten Pass auf 2.253 Metern (bei Ospizio Bernina) - es ist die höchstgelegene Adhäsionsbahnstrecke in Europa.
