Die Ruine Clanx oder „Burg zu Appenzell“ ist eine mittelalterliche Burgruine nördlich von Appenzell.
Die Burg wurde Anfang des 13. Jahrhunderts durch die Freiherren von Sax unter Abt Ulrich von St. Gallen erbaut und sie war Zufluchtsort der Äbte aus dem Kloster St. Gallen. 1219 wurde die Anlage erstmals urkundlich erwähnt.
