Berlin Ostbahnhof ist ein Fern- und Nahverkehrsbahnhof im Berliner Ortsteil Friedrichshain und steht mit täglich rund 100.000 Reisenden zusammen mit dem Hauptbahnhof Mannheim auf Platz 14 der meistfrequentierten Fernbahnhöfe der Deutschen Bahn. Er ist auch S-Bahn-Station und nach dem Hauptbahnhof und dem Bahnhof Südkreuz der drittgrößte Bahnhof Berlins.
Der Durchgangsbahnhof mit neun Bahnsteiggleisen gehört zu den 21 Bahnhöfen der höchsten Preisklasse 1 von DB Station&Service.
