Herdorf ist eine Stadt im Hellertal, nördlich von Daaden im Landkreis Altenkirchen in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört seit dem 1. Juli 2014 der Verbandsgemeinde Daaden-Herdorf an, deren größte Kommune sie mit rund 7.000 Einwohnern ist. Herdorf ist ein staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort und gemäß der Landesplanung als Grundzentrum ausgewiesen. Die Stadtrechte erhielt Herdorf am 24. Januar 1981.
