Thomm ist eine Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Trier-Saarburg in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Ruwer an, die ihren Verwaltungssitz in Waldrach hat.
Thomm liegt etwa auf halber Strecke zwischen den Städten Trier und Hermeskeil an der L 151 und ist bekannt für einen guten Viez und seine Bergbautradition .
Eine weite Rundumsicht kennzeichnet die Lage des Ortes, die bis 469 m über NN reicht.
Die Stadt Schweich und der Meulenwald, die Eifelberge, der Mehringer Wald, die Hohe Wurzel und der Rösterkopf, die Pellinger Höhen und die Höhen jenseits von Trier sind ohne weiteres sichtbar.
Im östlichen Bereich von Thomm ist der Gipfel des Erbeskopfes, des höchsten Berges von Rheinland-Pfalz, zu sehen.
