Winningen ist eine Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Mayen-Koblenz in Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Mosel an, die ihren Verwaltungssitz in Kobern-Gondorf hat.
Winningen liegt im Landschaftsschutzgebiet „Moselgebiet von Schweich bis Koblenz“ an der Untermosel zwischen Koblenz-Güls und Kobern-Gondorf auf der linken Moselseite. Nächstgelegene Städte sind an der Mosel Koblenz, etwa 5 km moselabwärts, sowie Cochem, etwa 40 km moselaufwärts.
