Wabern ist eine Gemeinde im nordhessischen Schwalm-Eder-Kreis an der Main-Weser-Bahn . Von Wabern fährt die Ederseebahn nach Fritzlar und Bad Wildungen.
Wabern liegt in der Waberner Ebene , der Flussebene der Eder und der Schwalm, wenige Kilometer südlich der Mündung der Schwalm in die Eder.
