Der Märkische Kreis ist ein seit 1975 bestehender Kreis in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Er liegt im Nordwesten des Sauerlands und gehört zum Regierungsbezirk Arnsberg und zur Region Südwestfalen.
Der Märkische Kreis umfasst den westlichen Teil des Sauerlandes. Im Norden wird er durch das Ruhrtal begrenzt, während der südliche Teil des Kreises sehr hügelig ist. Die höchste Erhebung ist die Nordhelle im Ebbegebirge mit 663 m ü. NHN. Der niedrigste Punkt mit 106,2 m ü. NHN liegt an der Ruhr bei Iserlohn-Rheinen.
