Die Brenz ist ein etwa 52 km langer linker und nördlicher Nebenfluss der Donau in Baden-Württemberg und Bayern.
Die Quelle der Brenz liegt im Landkreis Heidenheim auf der östlichen Schwäbischen Alb. Ihr Wasser entfließt dem Brenztopf in Königsbronn, einer typischen Karstquelle mit großer Schüttung, die leicht erreichbar an einer Felswand auf etwa 500 m ü. NN liegt.
