Die Steinach ist ein etwa 22 km langer Fluss in Südhessen und im nördlichen Baden-Württemberg, der südwärts durch den Odenwald fließt und bei Neckarsteinach von rechts in den Neckar mündet.
Die Steinach entspringt im südöstlichen Teil des hessischen Landkreises Bergstraße wenige hundert Meter nördlich von Ober-Abtsteinach im Bereich einer unbewaldeten kleinen Hochebene. Sie fließt in fast immer südlicher Richtung.
