Heilsbronn ist eine Stadt im mittelfränkischen Landkreis Ansbach. Diese liegt zwischen Nürnberg und Ansbach im geografischen Zentrum Mittelfrankens in der Metropolregion Nürnberg.
Die Stadt befindet sich in einem waldreichen Tal des Rangaus. Im benachbarten Ketteldorfer Wald entspringt die Schwabach. Nachbargemeinden sind, beginnend im Uhrzeigersinn im Norden: Großhabersdorf, Roßtal, Rohr, Windsbach, Neuendettelsau, Petersaurach und Dietenhofen.
