Das Hochstift Bamberg war bis zur Säkularisation Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts der weltliche Herrschaftsbereich des Fürstbischofs von Bamberg, ein geistliches Fürstentum im Heiligen Römischen Reich deutscher Nation.
Es umfasste vor der Säkularisation ein Gebiet von 3580 Quadratkilometern, vorwiegend im fränkischen Raum mit 207.000 Einwohnern, kaum die Hälfte der Bevölkerung, die es vor der Reformation besaß. Bis 1759 hatte das Hochstift auch Besitzungen in Kärnten, unter anderem die Städte Villach, Feldkirchen, Wolfsberg und Tarvis sowie das obere Lavanttal, das Kanaltal und die Gegend um Griffen, die die dortigen Alpenpässe von Nord nach Süd kontrollierten.
Ebenso besaß es vom 11. bis 18. Jahrhundert das oberösterreichische Kirchdorf an der Krems.
