Die Sieg ist ein 155,2 km langer rechter Nebenfluss des Rheins in Nordrhein-Westfalen und Rheinland-Pfalz . Sie entspringt im Rothaargebirge und mündet zwischen Bonn und Niederkassel in den Rhein.
Sie ist ein silikatischer Mittelgebirgsfluss. Das mittlere Gefälle des Flusses, gemessen zwischen Eitorf und Betzdorf , beträgt 0,15 %. Das Einzugsgebiet der Sieg umfasst 2.856,9 km², und der mittlere Abfluss beträgt rund 53 m³/s an der Mündung.
