Alarcón ist ein mittelalterliches Dorf in der Provinz Cuenca, das auf einem Berg an den Windungen des Flusses Júcar liegt. Das Ortsbild wird von einer guterhaltenen arabischen Festungs- und Burganlage aus dem 8. Jahrhundert bestimmt, die aus der Zeit der Reconquista stammt. Teile der Burg werden heute als staatlich betriebenes Hotel Parador genutzt.
