Torroja[2][3] ist eine spanische Gemeinde in der katalanischen Region El Priorat in der Provinz Tarragona. Sie liegt am Ufer des Flusses Siurana.
Der Name Torroja stammt von Torre Roja, einem Wachturm, der im 10. Jahrhundert von den Arabern erbaut wurde. Er wird erstmals 1270 erwähnt. Das betreffende Dokument ist die Siedlungsurkunde, die Poboleda gewährt wurde und in der der Begriff Torrogia erwähnt wird. Sie war Teil des Priorats der Kartause von Escaladei.
