Leiza ist eine spanische Gemeinde und Stadt in der Autonomen Gemeinschaft Navarra, gelegen im Merindad von Pamplona, in der Nordregion von Aralar, im Tal von Leizarán und 47 km von der Hauptstadt der Gemeinschaft, Pamplona, entfernt. Die Bevölkerung betrug 2017 2856 Einwohner. Die ersten Male, dass Leiza in der Geschichte erwähnt wurde, geschahen zusammen mit der benachbarten Gemeinde Areso. So wird die Erwähnung 1192 von Leitza et Aresso oder 1268 Leyçarasso erwähnt. Später wurde die Form Leyça festgelegt, die im 16. Jahrhundert dokumentiert ist. Schließlich verschwand im 18. Jahrhundert das "ç" im Spanischen, da dessen Laut dem heutigen "z" angepasst wurde, wodurch der Name der Gemeinde zu Leiza wurde.
