Die Metro de Palma de Mallorca wurde als erste U-Bahn der Balearischen Inseln am 25. April 2007 in der Hauptstadt Palma de Mallorca eröffnet. Die Züge der Metro-Linie M1 verkehren auf einer 8,5 Kilometer langen Strecke und bedienen neun Stationen. Betrieben wird die Linie durch das staatliche Eisenbahnunternehmen der Baleareninsel Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca . Darüber hinaus ist eine zweite Metrolinie M2 eingerichtet worden; diese folgt dem Verlauf der Eisenbahnstrecke nach Inca auf dem Stadtgebiet, beginnend an der Grenze zur Altstadt, in nordöstlicher Richtung.
