Moderne Helsinki ist eine Erfolgsgeschichte der Architektur. Diese in einen Felsen gehauene Kirche gehört zu den wichtigsten Orten Helsinkis und zieht die meisten Besucher an. Zwischen einem Granitboden und einer Kupferdecke verbinden Glasflächen die beiden Elemente. Es gibt keine Verzierung, keinen Altar und keinen Glockenturm. Die Kirche ist für den Gottesdienst geöffnet und wird auch häufig für Konzerte genutzt. Sie hat 500.000 Besucher pro Jahr. Montags ist sie von 10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr geöffnet, sonntags von 11:45 bis 13:45 Uhr.
