Die Place de la Concorde ist mit 359 Metern Länge und 212 Metern Breite sowie einer Fläche von 68.470 m² nach der Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux der zweitgrößte Platz Frankreichs und gehört neben der Place des Vosges, Place Dauphine, Place Vendôme und Place des Victoires zu den fünf königlichen Plätzen der Stadt .
