Thénac ist eine westfranzösische Gemeinde mit 1.675 Einwohnern im Département Charente-Maritime in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Sie gehört zum Arrondissement Saintes und zum Kanton Thénac. Die Einwohner werden Thénacais genannt.Thénac liegt etwa neun Kilometer südlich von Saintes inmitten der Kulturlandschaft der Saintonge. Umgeben wird Thénac von den Nachbargemeinden Saintes im Norden, Les Gonds im Nordosten, Préguillac im Osten, Tesson im Süden, Rioux im Südwesten, Rétaud im Westen sowie Chermignac im Nordwesten.
