Luchat ist eine westfranzösische Gemeinde mit 536 Einwohnern im Département Charente-Maritime in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Die Gemeinde gehört zum Arrondissement Saintes und zum Kanton Thénac . Die Einwohner werden Luchatais genannt.Luchat liegt in der alten Kulturlandschaft der Saintonge etwa neun Kilometer westsüdwestlich von Saintes. Umgeben wird Luchat von den Nachbargemeinden La Clisse im Norden, Pessines im Osten, Varzay im Süden und Südosten, Pisany im Westen und Südwesten sowie Corme-Royal im Nordwesten.
