Crépy ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 1816 Einwohnern im Département Aisne in der Region Hauts-de-France; sie gehört zum Arrondissement Laon und zum Kanton Laon-1.1184 stellte der französische König Philippe Auguste dem Ort eine Gemeinde-Charta aus. Im Spätmittelalter und in der Frühen Neuzeit war Crépy oft umkämpft und wurde im Zuge des Hundertjährigen Krieges 1373 von den Engländern, 1418 von den Armagnaken und 1420 von Jean de la Clite auf Befehl des burgundischen Herzogs Philipps des Guten erobert. Während der Hugenottenkriege wurde der Ort 1568 von den Hugenotten eingenommen und 1590 von den katholischen Ligisten zurückerobert.
