Hergnies ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 4433 Einwohnern im Département Nord in der Region Hauts-de-France. Hergnies gehört zum Arrondissement Valenciennes und zum Kanton Marly . Die Einwohner werden Hergnisiens genannt.Hergnies liegt am Rande des Regionalen Naturparks Scarpe-Schelde an der kanalisierten Schelde und an der Grenze zu Belgien. Hergnies wird umgeben von den Nachbargemeinden Péruwelz-Wiers im Norden, Vieux-Condé Osten, Odomez im Süden, Bruille-Saint-Amand im Westen und Südwesten sowie Flines-lès-Mortagne im Nordwesten.
