Villars-les-Dombes ist eine französische Gemeinde in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes im Département Ain. Die Gemeinde ist dem Kanton Villars-les-Dombes und dem Arrondissement Bourg-en-Bresse zugeteilt.Mit 4978 Einwohnern nahezu eine Kleinstadt, liegt der Ort in der Landschaft Dombes, auf halben Weg zwischen Lyon und Bourg-en-Bresse . In der Umgebung findet man eine Unzahl von Fischteichen, wie zum Beispiel den Étang Turlet, die sehr typisch für die Gegend sind. Im Westen wird die Gemeinde von der Chalaronne, einem linken Nebenfluss der Saône, durchflossen.
