Umgeben wird La Barre-de-Monts von den Nachbargemeinden Beauvoir-sur-Mer im Norden und Nordosten, Saint-Urbain im Osten, Sallertaine im Südosten, Saint-Jean-de-Monts und Notre-Dame-de-Monts im Süden sowie Barbâtre im Nordwesten .
